Peer to
Peer File Sharing Software P2P
P2P or Peer to Peer programs are
based in a free net of customers and
servers, meaning that there are no
established servers, but they count with a
series of clients that act as nodes that are
also the users of the net, they share their
files via
e – mail or instant messaging and
this is why it is completely legal. |

The nets in which P2P work,
take advantage, optimize and manage the
broadband in a way in which they are
constantly looking for the best route
between all the nodes of the
computers, this makes the transfer
of files much faster than in conventional
nets and decentralization methods.
These type of nets are characterized for
their stability: because nowadays, there are
millions of computers that are plugged into
them, due to the fact that their resources
are almost inexhaustible, which makes a
great difference with the architecture of
the server client, because by increasing the
number of users, the file transfer is
slower; it is also characterized for its
robustness: this type of net has a great
advantage before any failure, because it has
so many nodes that are
sharing
the information, it is very easy to switch
to another route and fix the transference,
decentralization: this characteristic is
based in the principle of every node having
the same function of the others, meaning
that there are no nodes with special
characteristics, so anyone of them is
essential. |

Now the most used programs
used in the P2P nets are:
Ares
: This program is a last generation
software
that can look down for any type of file,
from music, videos, images, photos,
presentations, etc. it uses an ultrapeer
protocol that guarantees the low broadband
consumption and that also allows the
download to be done from multiple sources,
its interface is very easy to handle and in
addition, it has an assistant to configure
any type of connection, depending the one
you have.

E – Mule:
Is also a P2P program that used the
E - donkey
2000 protocol and also the KAD net, this
program works in a similar way with Ares,
among its characteristics we can find: fast
recovery of failures; direct file exchange
with users; it uses a very low amount of the
operative
system’s resources; it also uses a
system that involves credits, meaning that
the one that uploads more files into the
net, is also the one that can have more
downloads; it also has a
decentralized character and an easy
interface. |

Azereus: this
P2P program
was created in Java language, it uses a system of
file exchange
but through the already famous
Bit Torrent net,
which offers
multiple downloads and has a search engine of its own, where
you can check sources and the number of uploads and downloads of
file, it also has the option of allowing you to checking a
preview of what you are downloading before it is completely
downloaded; its graphic interface is very easy to handle and it
s also easy to arrange the files; it has a transfer bar in the
desktop of your computer so you can check your pending
downloads. This is the link from which you can download it for
