Windows Movie Maker
Windows
Movie Maker is a
software that was specially
created for all the movie lovers, meaning
that it can be used to
edit
videos, images and sound, and it has
various edition tools such as sound and
image effects, transitions between images,
titles and credits, audio tracks and
chronologic narration, among other special
features. |
|
|
The program is really simple and easy to use, it
does not require being an expert because the
only thing you have to do is basically drag
the video images or audio files into Windows
Movie Makers main window and put the
transitions and effects you wish to create
in your video.
The Windows Movie Maker software was firstly
added into the Windows Millennium version,
but it had a reduced variety of tools, then
it was included into the Windows XP version
1.1, which had technical support to create
DV, aVI and WMV 8. after this, the version
2.0 came with the update of the
operative
system in 2002 and added new edition
tools in the service pack 2, it was updated
again into version 2.1, adding some
improvements; however, in 2005, it was
introduced into the Windows XP Media Center
Edition, changing the version before the 2.5
version, which had new transitions and
effects, and also DVD and other formats
support. |
|
Nowadays, with Windows Vista, we enjoy the
Windows Movie Maker 6.0, which is actually
the 3.0 version and has been included in
every Windows Vista Home Edition and in
Windows Vista Ultimate, only leaving aside
Windows Started. |
|
 |
This new version has been renewed so it can have
new transitions and new effects, it also has
DVR MS support and HDV and blue Ray
supports have also been included in it,
however the support to analogical formats
like VCR or VHS has been removed from this
version. |
These types of formats have forced people into
using cards with pixel shader properties or having technical
support with integrated cards, but Windows, thinking about the
users, has published a new update in their Windows download
center, so Windows Movie Maker
can be used without the need of having video cards that have
this kind of support. |
|
With the new tools that
Windows has added to the newest version of Windows Movie
Maker, now anyone can put amazing effects, which might be
transition accelerations, making images look much older than
they really are, or balancing sounds according to your taste in
a very easy and simple way.
To use this program in the best possible way, you only need
minimum list of requirements, that any current system has, but
if yours does not have them, you can always find some patches in
Microsofts web site, when you can also download Windows Movie
Maker itself:
