What to do after a job interview

When we are looking for a job, we usually apply for several spots and different companies. If we did the right thing � meaning, if we send a good curriculum and an interesting presentation letter � we might be summoned for a first interview. It is a great step. However, our expectations of becoming a part of an important company might vanish.

This is why it is necessary that after going to a job appointment, we strengthen our bonds with the interviewer.

The best way of showing our enthusiasm and interest in a company is sending a gratitude letter for the opportunity of meeting them. The gratitude letter is a sign of politeness to the person that used his or her time on getting to know us and show us the company we are applying for closer. It is a personal document that implies creating a closeness atmosphere with the person we established contact with.

If you had a good interview, managed to leave a good impression and create interest in the interviewer, you need to keep this good impression.
 

The best way of doing this is through a letter, and send it the same day of the interview or the next day, but never after three or four days. It is important that the interviewer, after reading your letter, tries to remember you. Remember that you are not the only person he has talked to about the same spot.

The first thing you should keep in mind when writing your gratitude letter, is to address it to the person who interviewed you. Reiterate the enthusiasm you have for occupying the spot you are applying to, so does your interest in becoming a part of the company. Finally, go ahead and try to fix a second interview whenever he thinks would be convenient.
